Overview

Based from our Richmond office, you will represent Flatiron's environmental interests across projects in British Columbia & the Yukon. Working closely with site project teams, you will provide input on appropriate design and construction methods and ensure our projects and subcontractors are compliant with regulatory requirements and legislation.

What you will be doing

  • Audits, analyzes and reports environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Works with design and construction team advising how to avoid and minimize adverse environmental effects.
  • Manages subcontractors for project specific environmental work.
  • Carries out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce the organization’s environmental risks and financial costs.
  • Writes environmental reports for supervisor review and leadership presentation.
  • Promotes and raises awareness, at all levels of the organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislative or best practice.
  • Coordinates public hearings and consultations on environmental matters.
  • Educates project staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities.
  • Participates in environmental education and research.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
  • Support published corporate policies.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or an environmental related field required.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience focused in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance.
  • Regulatory or educational experience with contaminated sites, fish habitat and/or water management is desirable. 
  • CPESC Certification (CA QSP) preferred.
  • Experienced in managing subcontractors for project specific and speciality environment works.
  • Understanding of project contractual terms and conditions.

CAD $95,000.00/Yr.

Salary Max

CAD $110,000.00/Yr.
